Spiritual Beings Called Plasma Beings

Here is an interview with Drunvalo Melchizedek, a channel who says he can talk to plasma beings who live inside the Earth and are immortal. This account jives with the accounts of the Hopi Tribe. These beings appear as a small sphere of white light. How many people report seeing these things? Watch and find out more.   This report says they can take human form and they are in our government. They live in caves with large crystals that they lead us to. It's quite a fantastic story. My comment: anything is possible. They want to help us go with the changes they already went through and lead us into the ascension process. Thanks to http://www.JuicyLivingTour.com and http://www.LilouMace.com for posting this video on April 10, 2013. Drunvalo has written lots of books, but I recommend this one to find out more about these beings: The Mayan Ourobous: The Cosmic Cycles Come Full Circle. If you click on the link below you can find out more about it.

A Guided Meditation to Meet Your Spirit Guide

Here is a short guided meditation from BDevine posted January 9, 2013. This woman judging from her accent is either from Australia or New Zealand and has a very soothing voice which is good for a guided narrative or even a hypnosis session. For those of you new to guided meditation, the speaker suggests that you will experience certain things and the rest is what occurs to you to see, hear or otherwise experience. Take a few minutes and relax while listening to it. If you would like to know more about guided meditations and they seem useful to you, I recommend this book: Guided Meditations, Explorations and Healings by Stephen Levine

Studies Show Prayer and Exercise Best for Healing

According to Pat Thomas writing for NYR Natural News there are a number of research programs that have concluded that the fastest path to recovery, whether mental or physical is a combination of prayer and moderate exercise. The studies didn't limit the type to prayers or mantras - everything from "Hail, Mary full of grace" to "Shalom" to "Om". Pat points out that spiritual healing goes beyond religion but uses the methods of religion. There is also a paragraph sharing the results of experiments on plants that showed growth increased for ones that were healed or prayed over. I suspect it is the transfer of energy and the intention that works this "magic".
Most of the available evidence shows that prayer is most effective as a complementary rather than a primary therapy. Nevertheless there is reasonable proof that prayer has a healing effect. One analysis of 23 studies involving more than 3000 individuals concluded that more than half demonstrated that that prayer had significant effects. In this review therapeutic touch appeared to show the most promise.
Naysayers point out that no study has ever proven the ability of prayer to stop a person from dying from conditions such as heart disease and cancer. They note, and fairly, that the quality of the studies done into spiritual healing can be very uneven and often do not follow people for long enough to make sweeping statements about its effectiveness. This however appears to be missing the point.
Scientific research by its very nature requires a measurable endpoint – usually focusing on quantity rather than quality of life. Even Dossey has warned that holistic practitioners should not overextend the power of spirituality; we will all die eventually.
Short-term studies do show that prayer can have an effect on longevity (see below) but perhaps more importantly prayer may be a beneficial way to improve the quality of life for those in need. Even researchers who are sceptical have been moved to say that the occasionally remarkable results of studies into spiritual healing are interesting enough to warrant further, and more serious, investigation.

Have you had experience using the power of prayer or healing to improve the condition of another? Please share your story below. Here is a great book for you to read more about this: Healing Words: The Power of Prayer and the Practice of Medicine by Larry Dossey.

Swami Beyondananda’s Thanksgiving Gratitude

Have you made the acquaintance of Swami Beyondananda? Get ready for a good laugh and remember not to take yourself or life in general too seriously. There's some of those spiritual people who think they are important and "evolved". Swami has words for them. Anyway, here's his latest from Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday, and not just because I love turkey and dressing. I’m grateful that we have set aside a day expressly to express gratitude, which is why I find it more heartfelt to send out Thanksgiving cards than Christmas or Hanukkah ones. So … consider this my holiday greeting:
THANK YOU!
If you’re on my mailing list, and have elected to receive my messages, thank you.
If you’ve been to one of our shows, or told anyone about them, thank you.
If you’ve bought a Swami product, or even thought about buying one, thank you.
If you’ve intentionally or unintentionally made someone laugh recently, thank you.
If you’ve hosted or promoted one of our shows, thank you.
If you’ve allowed the Swami and I to humorize your message, or if you were inspired to humorize your own, thank you.
If you participated in any teleclass I did – or even told someone about the teleclass (tell-a-teleclass) – thank you.
If you’ve put us up in the past year, or merely put up with us, thank you.
To my Facebook friends, friends of Facebook friends, Linked In associates, and anyone and everyone who receives this message … thank you!

He goes on the explain that on December 21st he's going to introduce Ed Sullivan to the Mayan elders while Howard Cosell does a pray-by-pray. He even offers to appear as if by digital magic on Skype if you send him an e-mail. Would you like to read more by this Swami of humor? Click on the picture below this article. This is just one of his many hilarious books. Enjoy.

Spiritual and Political Leader, Aung San Suu Kyi Travels to Washington D.C.

As she said in her acceptance speech, her presence in Washington was only a distant dream till recently due to her long years of house arrest in Myamar where she is simply known as “The Lady”. She traveled to Washington to accept the Congressional Gold Metal and to speak to the UN General Assembly in New York. I think once you have viewed this video you will agree she is a very moving speaker.

Spiritual and Political Leader, Aung San Suu Kyi Travels to Washington D.C.

Having visited Burmese refugees on the border of Thailand and worked with activists to free her from house arrest, it’s a great moment to see her not only speaking in public but also being able to travel to other countries and return again to Myamar. Few of us would have been willing to give up our family and happy life in the West for our country as she has. My special thanks to Ken and Visakha Kawasaki, now living in Sri Lanka, for making us all aware of the plight of the people of Myamar. May these people in one of the poorest countries in the world be able to make the long journey still ahead to a democratic and economic prosperity. There are a number of interesting books written about her, but if you wish to read what Suu Kyi herself has written, I recommend this book: Freedom From Fear published in 2010. You can view or purchase this book by clicking on the title or on the picture below.

Using Tai Chi to Overcome Arthritis

If one is to judge by popularity and assume this means a successful process of healing, Dr. Paul Lam, an Australian family physician and Tai Chi expert certainly has a good method. Amazon features 135 DVDs and books by this man. He has won numerous awards and his DVDs are in 16 languages. One of his first programs was Tai Chi for Arthritis, and since he started in 1997, over 2 million people have learned his method. Here is some descriptions of the program and the Tai Chi for Health Institute from the website.
Arthritis Foundation of USA and Australia, Arthritis Care of UK, Diabetes Australia, Osteoporosis Australia and other similar organistaions, fitness associations, universities and hospitals around the world supported one or all of Dr Lam's Tai Chi for Health programs. His instructors' training workshops are well recognised around the world, and accredited by Arthritis Foundation of USA; Australian fitness industry; American Council of Exercise; American Tai Chi Assocation; Florida and many other physiotherapist associations, HK rehabilitation society and the Korean Rheumatology Health Professional's Society.
Dr Lam's instructional DVD (some are in six languages) and books have made learning the programs easy and enjoyable. Dr Lam's team have also produced other tai chi instructional DVDs for learners of intermediate and advanced levels. You can find more information online.
Many of Dr Lam's students excelled in promoting health improvement and international competitions. Dr Lam is fluent both in English and Chinese. He enjoys working to bridge the gap between East and West, traditional and modern Tai Chi stylists.
To view the original of this post click here.

The Tai Chi for Health Institute was started in 2010 and includes training for teachers as well as practice of Tai Chi. From the calendar of events it seems that most of the present workshops are in the US or Australia. Dr. Lam teaches many of these himself, but with the burgeoning number of teachers being trained, having a workshop from Dr. Lam himself might be ending soon. While I myself have not taken one of these workshops, I certainly would like to join one in the future. Meanwhile, I’m going to order Tai Chi for Arthritis and see if it helps.

Spirit Healing and Rejuvenation through Fasting

Fasting is an old way to gain insight and direction, especially if it is done alone in a remote place without distraction. But did you know it’s good for your body and soul too? Here’s an article by Jack Eidt written for wilderutopia.com (Environmental Health section) about spirit healing and rejuvenation through fasting. He first discusses some famous historical fasters such as Jesus, Muslims during Ramadan, Gandhi and Jews during Yom Kippur. Then he explain the health benefits of fasting.

Spirit Healing and Rejuvenation through Fasting

ACMany health practitioners follow the rapidly advancing research field of autophagy, the study of how cells metabolize and eliminate damaged cellular debris, a process which increases under conditions of nutrient starvation. Hence, fasting and cleansing diets that reduce nutrient intake induce detoxification at the cellular level that does not otherwise occur. According to Dr. James Balch in his book Nutritional Healing, during a fast:
  • Natural toxin excretion continues without new toxin replenishment, reducing total body toxicity.
  • Energy used for digestion redirects to immune function, cell growth, and eliminatory processes.
  • The immune system’s workload is reduced and spares the digestive tract inflammation due to allergic reactions to food.
  • Lowered of serum fats thin the blood, increasing tissue oxygenation and moving white blood cells more efficiently.
  • Fat-stored chemicals such as pesticides and drugs, are released.
  • Physical awareness and sensitivity to diet and surroundings are increased.
A three-day fast helps the body rid itself of toxins and cleanses the blood. A five-day fast begins the process of healing and rebuilding the immune system. A ten-day fast can help fight off illness, including degenerative diseases common to our chemically polluted environment.
To read the original of this post click here.
The article ends by suggesting a couple of well-known types of fasts and suggests avoiding fasts of water only as toxins get released too fast, causing strong reactions such as headaches and muscle cramps. This is good advice as we are all not Gandhis or native Americans of old. However, what he fails to mention is that a fast needs to be done in a time when the person is not pressured by work or that commitments and preferably in the warmer months as your fasting body does feel the cold most strongly. If you would like to know more about spirit healing and rejuvenation through fasting, I recommend The Miracle of Fasting: Proven Throughout History for Physical, Mental and Spiritual Rejuvenation by Paul Bragg.

Summer Solstice and Spiritual Journeys

The longest day of the year is upon us and many will celebrate as usual. While the traditional celebrations are part of Wiccan traditions and thus religious, there are many solstice celebrations today that are not Wiccan based. Here is an article written by Grove Harris, a writer, speaker and consultant on religious diversity. The article appeared in The Huffington Post (Religion section). Let’s see what she has to say about summer solstice and spiritual journeys.

Summer Solstice and Spiritual Journeys

Celebration may be among a broader spectrum of people, such as the 35,000 who gathered at Stonehenge last year. BBC's coverage of that event included an interview "with those who appreciate the solstice the most: 'We believe it is very important for people to move with the cycles of nature, and actually feel them. If you get up early in the morning and you watch that special sunrise, you've been a part of it. The rest of the year is shaped by that. And we think it's a really healthy thing to do, and a very spiritual thing to do.'" And clearly the large crowd shared at least some of this sentiment and journeyed to one of the world's most renowned sacred spots to observe the sunrise. For those for whom this is a religious practice, there are variations on the rituals or traditions.
Some will burn a Yule wreath in a bonfire; some will dance, drum, sing, and pray. The variations are endless -- some rituals may be prescribed and ceremonial, while others will be more spontaneous: all are witnessing the turning of the wheel of the year. People attune themselves to the rhythms of the natural world and invite the seasons of waxing and waning, of birth, growth, death and renewal to reverberate more consciously in their lives.
To read the original post click here.
This is an very old ritual time dating back to 3000 BC, and the rituals have been passed down from one generation to another. I sometimes attend a solstice celebration that has been going with the same people for over 40 years now. They have their own set of rituals and parties. However, this year I’m going to opt for a pot luck party where people are encouraged to read original poetry or sing original songs. I’m sure the food will be good, and perhaps we will get lucky and have some good entertainment from our neighbors too. It will be another kind of spiritual journey. I’m going to recommend a different kind of book this time, a romantic suspense story just published: Summer Solstice by G.M. Frazier. Very affordable in the Kindel version at $3.99. Great summer reading.

Spiritual Tours in Tibet

Our featured journey for this week is a spiritual tour around Mt. Kailash near Kathmandu staying in or near Drirapuk and Zutrulpuk monasteries. The tour is sponsored by the Tibet Travel Coop, a group of local tour companies that all work together to promote and provide authentic travel experiences. Here are more details about spiritual tours in Tibet by the Tibet Travel Coop (TTC).

Spiritual Tours in Tibet

“Travelers will visit magnificent monasteries, ancient chortens, sacred mountains, caves and temples, lively bazaars and historic trading towns.” TTC said. “Throughout the trip, they will meet monks, Lamas, Yogis, nomads and scholars and learn about Buddhist culture. They can participate in meditation, observe rituals, mingle with pilgrims, and deeply connect with local people and traditions.”
Itineraries for the spiritual journey include a 14-day tour in and around the sites of Lhasa in central Tibet, and a 16-day pilgrimage to holy Mt. Kailash. All tours in central Tibet require a group of at least 5 and a guide.
“The Kailash itinerary is the 53km pilgrim path around Mt. Kailash.” TTC said. “The trek begins and ends in the city of Darchen and the journey can be started in Lhasa or Dam via Kathmandu. Three days is perhaps the minimum time required to walk leisurely around the mountain, spend two nights in or near Drirapuk and Zutrulpuk monasteries.”
To view the original post at PR Web, click here.
The Tibet Travel Coop also offers two other types of tours - cultural odysseys or adventure trekking. Perhaps some of your group would prefer these types of tours to the spiritual ones. I have talked to people who have gone on tours in Tibet. Aside from the indoctrination that the Chinese have improved the country since their take-over, the tours were well organized and delivered what was publicized. The regulations keep changing, but you are still limited as to where you can travel to on your own without a tour guide in Tibet. If you want to know more about traveling in Tibet, I recommend this book: Lonely Planet Tibet by Chris Bradley. The Lonely Planet books are kept up to date and give some out of the way places to visit as well for spiritual tours in Tibet. Next week we will look at traveling in some of the neighboring countries to Tibet - Bhutan, Nepal and China.
